TRADE SALE
This is a full disposal allowing a shareholder to dispose of 100% of their business asset to a trade buyer. In return they are given a consideration of money or paper, all on day of completion or over a period of time referred to as an earn out.
MANAGEMENT BUY OUT (MBO)
A MBO (and also a vendor instigated MBO) provides the management team with the opportunity to buy the business from the existing shareholders, having demonstrated their ability to ‘add value’.
ACQUISITIONS
As a business grows there are opportunities to acquire either a direct competitor or a business in an associated trade. Acquisitions can be in the UK or further afield, e.g. Europe or USA.

TMT
The UK has a strong and growing Telecoms, Media and Technology (TMT) industry. We have completed a number of transactions in this sector. Within TMT we focus on deals in cyber security, e-commerce, online and offline media, software services as well as telecoms and data convergence.
MANUFACTURING
The UK has a vibrant manufacturing industry. Our transaction experience suggests that high quality manufacturers remain in demand from both trade buyers and private equity (financial) buyers. Our experience in manufacturing spans FMCG, defence, aerospace, engineering, electronics and oil and gas sub-sectors.
SUPPORT SERVICES
We have completed a number of transactions in this sector. Within Support Services we have completed deals in business process outsourcing, consultancies, training, facilities management, logistics, professional services, recruitment and waste management.
